RUS - 101 | Intensive Reading & Writing Course In this course, you will learn how to read and write and add to your vocabulary more than 300 new words. This program teaches you how to deal with three consonants in a row, how to pronounce unfamiliar sounds, and where to put a stress in a word. Topics we cover in RUS 101: Questions: Where? Who? What? How much? What kind? When? How long? Nouns: Food; Drinks; Geography; Household items; Office items; Places in the city; Personal belongings. Verbs: to work, to live, to love, to like, to go, to eat, to drink, and more Cases: Instrumental, Prepositional About the Russian alphabet. Russian can seem overwhelming, but it can become a fun and creative game with the right tools and support. Here are some tips on how to learn the Russian alphabet. Use similarities between the English and Russian alphabets to understand it better. You can divide Russian letters into four groups. 1. Group one has letters that look and sound the same. (А, О, Т, М, К ) 2. Group two consist of letters look alike but sound different. (В=V, И=E, Н=N, С= S, Х=H, Р=R, Е=YE) 3. Group three consists of letters that sound the same but look different. (Б=B, Г=G, Д=D, З=Z, Л=L, П=P, Ф=F) !!!! This course is 7 weeks. I will be in California on the week of September 4th. No class on September 4th. !!!!!
